2016-2023
The project was conceived in 2016 as a direct comparison between a hand puppet and a human being. After the initial shooting of the puppet in different positions, the project was abandoned. In 2023, I return to the theme and finish the project as it was conceived in 2016.

Breakdowns is about finding a metaphorical connection between the master and the slave, the living and the artificial, the feeling pain and the emotionless. Two figures in zero space try to repeat each other, to become one, to stop dividing the world and to be reborn.

This series is something that has no beginning and no end, that does not create or follow new rules, but exists in isolation, creating its own time and space. In 2023, this space became something important to me, something where I could hide from the real world.

The project was awarded the 3rd prize in the competition "Unpublished photo-23", organized by the 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS gallery in Milan, Italy, the Fondazione culture e musei (FCM) and MUSEC Lugano, Switzerland.
